I love these - they were easy to apply. I put them up in my basement and there were some uneven walls that they wouldn't stick to, so I nailed them on and it worked fine. For smooth surfaces the adhesive worked perfectly.

The cork was purchased for an outdoor bulletin board in FL. In addition to the adhesive on the cork, we needed to spray each cork square with Gorilla Glue in order for it to stay on the cement wall. After about a week, due to heat and humidity, the adhesive no longer held. The glue worked and we love our bulletin board.

What a great material! Easy to apply to the surface and it will stay adhered as long as you need it to be.

Arrived quickly used on a couple of projects.

They don’t stick well

These were advertised as self adhesive, however they were not self adhesive. I still give them a 5 star review because the density and quality of these cork board tiles is well above any other.

Excellent quality, the peel & stick worked fantastic. We had to trim a few to fit our space and the cut with a utility knife nice & clean. Would buy again.

These are the only 1/2" think cork I found and I had been looking for six months! Made a beautiful bulletin board in my kitchen with them!

The sales staff were great but ordering from Canada became a very expensive endeavor.

Created back board for dart board. Craft stores, office supy and hardware stores didn't have 1/2 thick self adhesive backed squares like these. Super easy to install, solid and more cost effective than rolls or sheets at the other stores. Happy darter

This purchase was made to improve our little community, which had a bulletin board with a cheap, thin, warped cork that couldn't even hold a pushpin in!

I can't even count how many times I've returned to Widget to purchase their adhesive cork squares (among a variety of other items!). We purchased the 12"x12" -1/2" squares as we had to replace 6sf of travertine in our bathroom. This was the easiest product to cut, handle and install! Thank you! If I every need cork (any size) I will definitely purchase this again.

Looked at many options for cork. This was by far the best value. Extremely sturdy, clean edges, very strong self-adhesive. I cut them for my project using a shart utility knife guided by a metal straight edge and got a perfect line. These are very solid and dhered well to the wall. Outstanding product!

I finally have a cork area that push pins can really go in.

Received just what I needed and expected .

Good quality, 1/2" thickness allows pushpins to be totally inserted. Self-adhesive worked great even on plaster walls. I will be buying more.

I bought these to use as a bulletin board on a brick wall on which other products would not adhere. So far, I'm having trouble getting them to stick, though I'm not giving up yet and have Gorilla Glue waiting in reserve in case I fail. They otherwise appear solid and well made. If I had smooth walls, I know they would stay up instantly.

Worth The Extra Cost. I replaced some cork I purchased on Amazon because pins kept falling out and it was being used as a message board. This cork is excellent. Pins actually stay in and hold messages, photos, etc. it was east to cut and the adhesive is strong. Spend the extra $, you wonÕt regret it.

self adhesive cork boards So far I am pleased with these cork boards, I am using them on a concrete block wall and a couple of them have popped off, but I am not concerned about this as the wall temperature changes unlike a drywall wall would and I kind of expected this. But I have put up 27 of them and they are doing fine. I just put the 2 back up and applied more pressure to them all and so far so good. I would recommend them and will buy more if needed. The thickness of the 1/2" is thick enough for a pushpin to go through and not hit the block wall. nice product

½ “ Thick Cork Squares Just what was needed to protect drywall around a dart board. Arrived on time.

Easy to install We followed the directions and let the boards come to room temperature for almost 72 hours. Very easy to stick onto the wall. I found it easier to peel off the paper diagonally so that more of the adhesive stays on the cork board instead of the paper. It's been almost a week and all 24 boards are still up!

Works Perfect The cork was a perfect border for the window bench we built. We made angles at either end of the bench due to the hanging curtains and a cushion would not work for this small area. The cork was a perfect size to cut in half and place on either side of our 2 inch cushions. It not only makes that small space usable but holds the cushion from sliding. Thank you for having this product, few retailers do!

Perfect for dartboard backstop I just installed the six 12-inch square cork boards to serve as a backstop for our new dartboard in our basement bar area. Per the instructions, I heeded the advice to wait 72 hours before applying them to the wall so that they could adapt to the conditions in the basement. I'm glad I did! After setting them out separately on a flat surface, they started to warp or "cup" badly for about two days. I ended up putting them on top of each other on a flat concrete surface with a large paint can on top of them to be sure that they would flatten out properly. They did, and were perfectly flat when I pulled the backing paper off of the panels and carefully pressed them to the wall above and below below them.

Love this product! I purchased a couple packages of these and lined the inside of an armoire. I added decorative push pins and hung up my necklaces. Love that they are now all organized and on display so I can easily choose what I want to wear. Installation was a breeze. Definitely recommend this product.

Great Cork I ordered the 1/2 inch thick tiles and I am very happy. The sizes are very consistent and the adhesive is very strong. I would highly recommend.

Adhesive has never worked We left these to sit out overnight before hanging as directed. Once we hung them, the very next day four had already fallen down. Over the last six months or so we have spent almost as much on alternate means of hanging them back up as we spent on the actual tiles. Every single day there are some sitting on the floor. At this point we are looking at having to nail them to the wall, since the wall is so marked up with cork flecks and adhesive that taking them down isn't an option without a contractor's help. Great looking product but would not recommend it based on what it's supposed to do. [Reply from WIDGETCO: Thank you for the feedback. It is very rare we get reports of our self adhesive not working really well. The best we can determine, freshly painted walls or one culprit that negatively affects adhesion. The best way to determine if there is adequate adhesion in your application is to apply some tiles and test for 24 hours. If they hold after 24 hours they are usually secure for continued use. Other problems with adhesion could be dust on walls, other surfaces like brick or concrete, or not applying tiles right after removing paper backing. In the event tiles do not adhere, a construction adhesive like gorilla glue or liquid nails often helps on tricky surfaces. Again, we are sorry to hear these tiles did not work in your application.]

Beautiful Tiles I purchased these 1/2 cork tiles to completely cover one wall of my quilting room to be used as a design wall. They are excellent quality and the wall turned out better than I imagined. The glue is really strong, and the tiles were easy to cut once I figured out what I was doing. Excellent product. I would definitely buy again if I have the need.

Adhesion Issues I like the tiles. I like the thickness and quality. But there is an adhesion issue. Mounting them to the side of a metal file cabinet was not satisfactory. They keep coming off. I contacted the company and was told to use Gorilla glue. Said it was designed to stick to walls, not metal. I frankly think that's a rather fine point to make. Product is good but I could get any product and stick it on with glue. So not overall impressed

1/2 Inch cork I turned a used mirror frame into a giant cork board using these tiles. The quality was well worth the cost.

We purchased this product which was shipped promptly and received in just two days. The product was sturdy, easy to install and we are very pleased with our purchase. One tip, read the instructions. Let the cork sit out in the air for 48 hours before installing otherwise it will shrink.

Cork sqaures. I used these behind my dart board attached to 1/4 plywood. Works fantastic. I just reordered more for those inaccurate dart players.

Exactly What I Needed I'm a teacher and I needed cork strips to attach to the children's cubbies so I could staple on envelopes to hold papers being sent home. Regular cork strips are not thick enough for a staple or push pin to go all the way through. They also won't hold loaded envelopes very well. I needed thicker cork that would hold up under pressure. These were the perfect thickness. Since I only needed 1" strips I needed to cut the squares into strips which was very easy to do with a box cutter. The adhesive on the back of the cork is very sticky and made it easy for me to apply them to the cubbies.

Perfect for our new art wall We covered a whole wall with the 1/2 adhesive tiles to create a large space to display our children's artwork. We love the result, although we did have to use a bit of gorilla glue on some tiles to get them to stick. The company is great to work with, responsive and fast.

1/2" 12 x 12 square cork tiles I got these to do part of a wall in my office and I absolutely love them. Ordering them was easy they came quickly the price was reasonable and they were very easy to install. The only problem I have is that I would like them so much I need more and the company is out of stock otherwise I am 100% happy.

1/2 Inch self adhesive squares 12" x 12" These were outstanding and very simple to install. I followed the instructions and had no problem with the installation. I would suggest that if you are cutting these to size that you use a tool that will cut all the way through the cork. In that way you will get a clean edge. I didn't do that and after scoring the cork, and folding it one edge came out rough. My fault, not the fault of the cork. I would recommend these to anyone who has a use for cork. Self adhesive feature worked excellent. Outstanding quality and the service was excellent. Definitely will rebuy in the future.

Dart Board Wall I used these tiles to put up behind a dart board in my game room. They worked perfectly! I laid them out on the engineered floor of the room they were staying in for three days but flipped them over half way through as they appear to be curling on the edges. I also used a large flat book and pushed heavily on them after mounting them to the wall. They have been up for a week and no issues.

Cork Squares Nice product at a good price

Cork Squares These tiles were exactly what I had been searching for. My son-in-law had made me a shadowbox and I needed something to line the back of it so I could pin my items inside the box. I had looked everywhere locally and there was nothing available. I found this sight and they were perfect. I only had to cut 1 tile to use as fill ins. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. After receiving them, I laid them out to warm up for a couple of days, then placed them in the box to make sure how I wanted to fit. When I was happy with the way they looked I removed the backing and set them in place. No problems. I highly recommend these tiles.

Not pleased with these cork squares Although I like the 1/2" thickness, I can't recommend this product. I let the squares sit out the recommended 72 hours to acclimatize; cleaned the wall as instructed (the paint is not new; evidently, it can be a problem if recently painted). The squares are not uniform, so I cobbled together the 4'W x 6'H cork wall as best I could. Unfortunately, the cork seems to respond to the daily humidity---shrinking and swelling, causing the adhesive to release. Almost daily several cork squares tumble off the wall with the items I have pinned up. It's been maddening. I finally nailed the squares in place.

Tiles are Great, but a Few Problems The tiles are great, just what I expected, but I had a few problems. When they arrived the shrink wrap made the corners of the tiles curl. I followed the instructions but it didn't help. I ended up stacking them face down and placed a heavy object on them for several days and this helped. Next problem was that because of the curling the adhesive wasn't very effective. I placed the tiles on the wall as directed, but the corners kept pulling away. I called and emailed customer service several times and eventually got someone by dialing random extensions. He suggested I go to Home Depot and get an adhesive. I gently removed the tiles and purchased a spray on adheasive which was very effective and haven't had any further problems. I would recommend these tiles provided you realized that this is what you will probably need to do.

Cork Squares On time and as described.

1/2 inch cork squares The tiles where quite warped and out of square as mush as an 1/8 of an inch. Somebody is not doing quality control at your company. Please don't tell me you are sorry, that doesn''t fix the problem.

1/2 inch Self Adhesive Cork Squares (6/pack) Disappointed in product received. Evidently shrink wrap packaging too tight causing warpage of cork panels. After allowing 96 hours of acclimation time the cork panels were still warped. Adhesive also very poor. After proper surface preparation (full alcohol wipe) cork panels do not fully adhere to desk backboard surface. Would not purchase again and would not recommend.

Great! I am so glad I ran across these. I was able to cut them into 1-1/2" pieces and make my own cork bar strip. The other cork bars I ran across are only 1/4" thick, which doesn't let me insert push pins all the way in. This was a nice solution.

Perfect! I used these cork tiles to cover with burlap for a project. They are sticky on 1 side so I used that side to cover with the fabric and then super-glued the other side. They are so easy to use!

Perfect for Custom bulletin boards on wall and refrigerator It was exactly what I was looking for. We have textured walls and it sticks great. The 1/2" thickness allows for push pins without hitting your wall. I also used it on my refrigerator to make a photo bulletin board, as it's non-magnetic stainless steel. Would highly recommend this product.

Perfect for the project We used the cork squares to make two bulletin boards on the interior cabinet doors of a second pantry in our kitchen. My husband calls it our "communication and command center." The thickness of the squares fit perfectly between the doors and the edges of the shelves. After applying the squares to the doors, I needed one square slightly adjusted. Fortunately, it was within a very few minutes of application, or it would not have come off. The squares are securely in place, thick enough to hold push pins and notes.

Didn't stick adhere well. My wall was clean and dry but the tiles didn't stay stuck well at all. One has fallen off even. It's been 3 days and the corners still peal off a bit. I'm going to have to use another type of glue. They look good though.

Great Product to Make a Custom Cork Board I purchased these 1/2" 12x12 cork tiles to make a custom sized cork board for my wife's art studio. These tiles are perfect. I was able to easily cut the tiles to size using my table saw and the adhesive on the tile stuck like crazy, (make sure you have the tile exactly were you want before the tile comes in contact with the wall, because it's not coming off if you need to reposition). I would definitely recommend these tiles and will probably get some for my woodworking shop.

1/2 inch Self Adhesive Cork Squares We purchased these for a wall at our church in the Pre-K Sunday children worship room to decorate for our monthly curriculum themes and for a class birthday display. We chose this company mainly because we wanted cork board that a normal sized stick pin could go through without hitting the wall and there were hardly any brands that went up to 1/2 inch. We've had cork board before that was thin and things just didn't stay on it. Although this product was more costly, it has turned out fantastic. None of the squares fell off, so the adhesive worked very well. We did do the rolling pin thing as the instructions recommended. Many compliments on it. We love it. Fast shipping also.

Perfect for my Classroom These self-adhesive cork tiles were perfect for covering up the old blackboard that was once covering the walls of my classroom (from 1920). They were so easy to put up. There were some that I needed to cut, and I was able to do so with a small saw to get a perfect fit. They are also nice and thick for staples and pins to grip onto.
