I recently had cable installed in an old house. They mistakenly drilled several holes in the old oak floor. The plugs worked perfectly and once stained are not noticeable unless you stare at it.

Great products. Actually, I was amazed how good the plugs look. I am using a lot of wood plugs and I have never found such nice and clean plugs. Very good quality and every one of the 1000 I purchased had same quality, For info customs and handling fee was £18.00 but still works out cheaper than buying them in this country, 3 week delivery which was excellent considering Christmas came in the middle of that time. 1/2 inch Oak Wood Plugs, Face Grain
Beautiful workmanship with very fast delivery.Planned to use them to cover screw heads on outdoor furniture. The problem was that the plugs are 1/4 inch deep, and the room above my screw heads was too shallow. So, the fit did not work for me, and the tapered sides prevented sanding them down to fit the securely the 1/2 inch diameter hole. But, this does not demerits the plugs. I ordered the wrong ones, rather than the straight-faced "floor" plugs.
