We have used cork pads in our home for many years as insulators from heat and moisture. I wanted some with a little more heft, and these are perfect. The 1/2" thickness makes them far more solid than the slightly thinner we have used in the past. They can be cut to perfectly fit a specific spot or used as sold. I hope these hold up as well as the discs I have had for many years!
