You identified these as brass, they’re plated steel. Misleading marketing.

I ordered the wrong size the first time so when I returned them I sent along one of my originals so you could tell me the correct size. Rachel took care of that and the replacement order fit perfectly. I was having trouble checking the small measurement due to my eyesight. I GREATLY appreciated your help! Thank you!

I love the 1/4" shelf pins, but they require a 9/32" drill jig for the inserts that is no longer carried by Rockler or anyone else that I can find. I have recommended to WidgetCo that they start carrying such a jig and templates for their shelf pins.

I live in an old, historic home and our shelving is a system of holes drilled into wood. Over the years, the exteriors of the holes have worn. These grommets are perfect to provide support for the shelf pins. Thanks very much. Just what we needed

I restore vintage sewing machines. The cabinets have a brass grommet in the key hole. Your shelf pin sleeves are an exact fit. The grommet in the center drawer is shorter. If you want to make me REALLY happy send me some .25 x .25 brass shelf pin sleeves. Thanks

Just what the doctor ordered This may not have been the typical application for the sleeves however they were perfect. These were used for the keyholes on an 1891 Singer treadle sewing machine table. Although they were a bit longer than the original with a little effort they slid right in and look awesome.

Classy addition These are a classy addition to any display cabinet with glass doors or glass side panels where empty shelf pin holes can be seen. They are especially beautiful in light-wood cabinets whose holes stand out and look unfinished. I am not an expert driller, so this may just be my issue: Some sleeves fit very well in the holes - just use a rubber mallet to seat them. But some of my sleeves are too loose. I added several additional holes for more shelves and more options on shelf placement. With the additional holes, it became obvious that picking the correct four holes for a given shelf would be harder than it needed to be. My solution was to paint the inside of the holes for a given shelf the same color so I could quickly find them. Each set of shelf holes had a different color paint. And as an added benefit, It turned out that the wet paint was just enough of a ‘glue’ to keep the loose sleeves in place.

Ed domaney I bought $40 worth of grommets and shelf pins and was treated like I had bought $1000 worth of hardware!.would suggest that they include magnetic business cards which I can put on my metal roll out tool box along with other business contacts for my homestead woodworking company.

Almost instant gratification The shelf pins arrived sooner than I had expected - only a couple of days from when I ordered them! Plastic bag in which they came was not great. Suggest that if "you" get them, have another storage container handy. But hey, at least they were not shipped loose in an envelope!
