Do What I Needed
I got these to use with Cole jaws on a lathe. They bolt to the jaws, and then the jaws are expanded or reduced to hold the piece of wood being turned.

Good price and shipping. These plugs work great for the job I used them on. They are soft enough to form into the hole but durable enough to hold up. I did try to drill out the hole on one to make it a little bigger but the drill bit did nothing to it. I guess this material must have good wear properties.
