Oak plugs for our corner dinette
We received these 5/8" Oak Button Top Wood Plugs in the mail a couple of days ago. We simply applied some stain and polyurethane, and plugged them in after allowing for drying time. The plugs fit perfectly and look beautiful filling in those unsightly holes in our furniture.

When I ordered the wood plugs, I ordered 2 less than what I needed. I emailed WIDGETCO asking them to cancel the order so that I could re-order the proper amount of plugs. I could not find these at either of our big box stores nor at the local helpful hardware store. It seems 5/8 inch is not very popular around town though every other size is. I was expecting to have to order 100 minimum but that was not the case. I only needed 5 but ordered 6 (because that's the way my life works) and I was not disappointed. The oak grain matched my newel post perfectly and what else can you say about wood plugs...they did exactly what I wanted them to do and that's perfect in my book.

I only ordered 2 of the 5/8" Oak plugs for a small project. They arrived very quickly, are of good quality, and met my expectations. The shipping was $3.99 and the plugs were only 40 cents, but the not outrageous "small order" shipping cost made it feasible to buy them this way. I quickly and easily got exactly what I needed without having to buy anything extra, and did not have to drive around trying to find what I needed.
