I just tried one of these out today. So the review request was fated. I am using these to make a mahl stick. Mahl sticks are used by painters to support their hands.
I drilled a 1/2" diameter hole, .75" deep, into the cork ball. Into this, I inserted a 1/2" diameter, 40" long, wood dowel, and glued them together. Then, I fitted a brown leather cover over the cork-dowel assembly.
The mahl stick is basically finished.

Cork Balls!
This was my first purchase from WidgetCo, but it won't be my last. I chose the Agglomerated Cork ball, 1.5 inch, for a specific job, making a painter's maul stick. Delivery was on time, quality was excellent. The maul is finished and works great. In case you're wondering, the maul is the stick a sign painter uses to steady his hand when lettering. I'll use it to steady my hand for detailed areas of my paintings.

These cork balls are great for the cats to play with, They love whipping them around the room. I bought the cork balls that are 1 1/2 inch in size, this way I can find them more easily when they get lost under furniture or wherever. The cork is of high quality and doesn’t have any dents or imperfections that take away from a completely round shape.
