#10 Screw Thread Protectors - Black

They work excellently except they were too large. I returned they and ordered smaller sizes. This is an excellent company and easy to do business with. I highly recommend them for you cork or stopper needs.

Great product, as advertised.

I was looking for thread protectors to use in hogwire deck railing project. The Hogwire manufacturer Wildhog, offered a "tusk" rubber tip product to put on the cut ends of the wire to eliminate rattle and help avoid rust. However, they make two 6 gauge products but one's coating is thinner, and the rubber tusk falls off - much to my surprise. I called widgetco to see if they could help. They did some measurements with a micrometer of the hole diameter of this screw cover and it looked promising, but said I should try them first, and that they had a return policy exactly for this reason. I ordered them and found they fit well but they were too thin for my use, so I made use of their return policy. Its probably too small a niche market to make fatter screw covers e.g 8mm. Thank you!

Works great! We used these to cover the cut ends of hog panel to protect our horses from the windows in their stalls. They can be trimmed to fit the sharp metal nubs and keep everyone safe from getting scraped up.

Effective protection for our horse Our horse is turned out in a metal run-in shed. The shed was constructed using self-tapping sheet metal screws, which are accessible by the horse. We began to see various minor injuries on our horse, which led us to search for a solution. We found WidgetCo through a Google search, purchased the applicable screw protectors, and installed them. Screw thread protectors Nothing covers the sharp almost deadly point of these screws better than WIDGETCO's screw thread protectors. I give it a 5 star rating for cutting down on band-aid use!

Screw thread protectors These screw protectors were the perfect diameter for my #10 screws. Although they are a little long for my purposes, they are easy to cut. Shipping was quick and they were well packaged in a zip lock bag making it easy to use a few then close the bag up to save the others for later. The material is thick but easy to install over the screw threads. The price was great. I use these to cover the threads of screws inside of a mold. The screw protector stays in the molded product when I remove the screw after the molding compound has set. They act as an extender for the insertion of a screw into the molded product. But they also act as a shield from the molding compound getting into the screw threads making it hard to remove the screw once the molding compound has cured. Obviously I can't reuse these.

Used for relay screw insulators We use 120 VAC relays with #10 threaded terminals which are uncovered. The relay manufacturer does not provide covers for their threaded terminals, we slide the rubber caps over the threaded terminals to protect the person testing the equipment (me) from getting shocked, so far they work great.

Uses you probably don't know about. These little screw protectors are hard to find at retail stores in any quantity. You may not know they are the perfect size to go over the spout of airbrush paint bottles. Airbrush artists like me use them constantly. Pricewise, they are much more than they should be at $0.27 each, but that said, WIDGETCO handled the order quickly and correctly and shipping was pretty fast considering it's USPS.

Happy Customer I spent countless hour in two local large local hardware stores and neither one was able to assist me. I located your company on line on my own. I submitted a questions and the response was almost immediate. I was later sent two size samples and one (#10) did fit even thought the screws were #12.
