These are the good kind of 5mm spoon shelf pins. this is because of asmall detail that you woul dnot notice until you have a bad kind of spoon shelf pin. It has to do with the shoulders of the spoon part are aligned with the flat of the spoon. You may not realize this is a problem until you have a bad spoon shelf pin. The 5mm pin is all the way in and doesn't interfere with the shelf.

Didn't work for our intended purpose, replacing the brittle plastic shelf pegs that came with out kitchen cabinets.
Too small, and hard to measure the pegs and holes to clearly discern the small size difference between 5mm and 1/4 inch. Even the 1/4" in drill bit didn't comfortably fit into the cabinet peg holes, so we bought these which turned out too small, as I said. So, we'll keep them as spares for our bookshelves.
We then bought the 1/4", in a different color to distinguish, and hopefully those work for us, even if we have to tap them in with a hammer.

These Shelve Pins Saved The Day
The movers ÒlostÓ the pins as I had taped them to the inside of the cabinet. Really? Luckily, one of them had found its way to the rear of the cabinet, so I could match it to the website pics.
