My husband and I LOVE making lamps! The greatest challenge has always been partnering a shade and a base we like. Vases are tricky due to the size of the opening. How do you secure the socket and shade to supply the juice? Simple… take a #34 dense cork, drill a hole thru the center and the cork holds everything in place! This worked perfectly! NOW… think of the possibilities!

The first one I ordered was a bit smaller than advertised. It was in danger of being lost inside my vase! So, I bought the next size larger, and it does nicely. I added the ribbon so I would be able to remove the stopper at a later date if necessary.

Hard to find size and did not have to purchase more than I needed. Price was reasonable. Crisp edges / no chips. Very satisfied.

The size 34 fits snugly on regular mouth mason jars (NOT wide mouth). Very good quality. Just give a quick rinse before first use.
